The rest of the weekend

So nothing has gone according to schedule in three days now, but its all good...

Instead of the Eagle with Joey, I went to the Cage with Jodie, Jordan, Jackie (or possibly Jaquie or some other variation) and Em. We had good drinks and good conversation. I love playign with intelligent people :) I talked to Jordan for most of the evening anyway. Hes a straight boy or something like one... I usually don't end up talking with those a whole lot so it was nice. We were talking about my parents odd collection hobbies, and emilee joins the conversation with "Well, my dad collects... oxycontin... and then sells it but most of the time he inhales it himeslf.. and then mom, she collects emotional baggage and unloads it at inopportune times..." it was hilarious!

We had a long trip back to Clarion, including driving almost into a car that flipped and having to call 911. I hope everyone was ok! It was enough to shake me up for the rest of the trip... Moreover, its happened before! The last time it was an SUV near the freeport exit. This time, we were almost to New Bethlehem so I was talking to the hick 911 center who responded "uh, what?" Another fine example of service employees in pennsylvania. After our Panera Bread experience though, this wasn't so bad (yeah, we went to Panera bread with Jenn Kerr last night and they were OUT OF BREAD) And the girl didn't know what to do about it...
"Hi, I'm INEPT... Can I help you?"

Anyhow, I got a good 3 hours sleep before church and Em and I were off again to Franklin to visit my mom, her mom, and my dad.

That wasn't real exciting... I got 20 bucks from dad. Won't cover my car insurance, but I can buy drinks next weekend at least!

We stopped at GC, and I started txting Joey. Unfortunatley, he was free in the afternoon, and I was free in the evening so it looked like we weren't going to be seeing eachother... Which of course gave good reason to buy lots of clothes that we can't afford!

A few minutes later, I get a txt "How about dessert at 11." Althoguh I felt better... I needed a new outfit for dessert!

Em and I had dinner, then back to her apartment. I'm slowly moving in, of course. More and more of my stuff shows up there every week. I have a great time down there....

Joey and I had a nice evening as well although we were both pretty tired and didn't make it quite through the movie that we meant to watch. He made brownies and I brought some Ice Cream. It was singly the best date in a while. I love creativity *adds points*. Hes a really nice guy, and I enjoy talking to him more the more that we hang out. Granted, we're both at stages where we're moving on with our lives. I was thinking about that after I left him this morning and started back to Clarion. Its true, we're both moving- me to Ohio (then probably, hopefully, to Pittsburgh) in May and him to who-knows-where in August. So, what does that mean... well, getting married is out of the question. I just don't think its worth not letting anything happen because of it. I mean, I'm not looking for serious move-in-together commitment in the first place anyway. So, I think maybe dating would be a good solution, although most gay men don't know a whole lot about htat... I mean, there is somethign of a possibility that one might get hit by a car, but thats not a good reason to say no to a relationship (unless there is some other reason).

Anyway, I had a blast this weekend not only with meeting Joey, but with Emilee and the rest of my urban family that I'm growing to love. The more time I spend down there the more I realize that I have a lot of life to live, and theres a lot of fun to be had. Emilee and I are seriously talking about getting a place in Bloomfield if I can get a job down in the area somewhere. Time will tell, but I think it would be great! its kinda a big step, but I think it could work.

I dunno, things are looking up! But... back to school tomorrow :(
