One is silver, and the other gold...
Well, not necessairly.
I've had an excellent, but quiet week. Last Friday night was the best... Emilee and I had dinner at Applebees and then picked up Jodie for a night at the club- my last for awhile! Jodie and I both start teaching next week.. except shes teaching a college writing course! I think i'm in love...
Anyway, we arrived early and danced forever. I find i have a better time if I stay away from boys and only talk to the girls I bring with me- except for Chris, Patio Relations crew member turned stripper... He was delicious :)
After that, against ALL of our better judgement, we hit EatnPark. It was a good time too, I talked to Jodie a lot about books and plans after I'm done teaching in the spring and a wide variety of things... Emilee too, when she wasn't flirting with the boys at the next table! Nevertheless, it was a nice evening! Jodie knows all my favorite Eleanor Roosevelt quotes- I think I'm in love ;)
The ensuing week I spent in Clarion, cleaning the apartment and trying to heal a bit. My biggest problem was sleeping all day- I meant to start getting up early. Oh well! Brendan came home on Wednesday, adding a bit more excitement to life.
Mainly, I've talked to my CP crew a lot this week and some other people I met there as well. I got an email from my department supervisor and that was the best! We had such a great time last year... I wouldn't be surprised if he is on full time by the time the season rolls around this year. Kudos to that if he likes it... I'm not sure I could do it myself. I do miss them all a lot, and it sounds like many of them are going back this year- Kristen (Queen of Cotton Candy- responsible for starting a rhyming game with me and Gary that STILL goes on to this day), Georgie, George, Nick, Bladen... I also heard from Liz, who is in KENTUCKY of all places (what in TARNATION is she doing there?) Its like a strange reunion or something. Oh well! I'll see them all soon enough I hope...
I haven't talked to a few people in awhile- which is a mixed blessing for sure. I've figured out what I need in life, and an important part of that is figuring out what one DOESN'T need. Although I miss Joel, it was probably a good idea to hold off calling him for a bit... And others, its not worth it to bother.
I'm off to tan and go to the gym... how gay am I right now?
Hehe
